You should enable usage of the native architecture of your CPU (e.g.~\texttt{-march=native}), to leverage the expanded instruction sets, which may not be available in the default baseline target configuration.
Finally, on Unix make sure that the application is linked with libraries \texttt{libpthread} and \texttt{libdl}. BSD systems will also need to be linked with \texttt{libexecinfo}.
